Workstation rooms
General guidelines
- Facilities: the software available on workstation room PCs and in the Library varies (check our list of available software). Each workstation room has a laser printer. You will need an IT Services username and password to use the PCs.
- Availability: our workstation rooms are usually open from 7am to midnight daily, but availability is limited on closure days (Christmas, Easter and bank holidays). The rooms are available for student use when not booked for events or classes. You can check for booking details on the screen outside each room.
- Booking: if you wish to book a workstation room please contact Birkbeck Room Bookings.
- Guidelines for use: we expect our users to abide by our guidelines on acceptable use of ITS workstations and IT Security.
- Accessible study spaces: we offer a wide range of accessible study spaces for students.
- Remote access: during lockdown, the College provided the ability to remotely connect to PCs in the workstation rooms. This service is currently not available, but may be restarted in the future if circumstances require.
