As the oldest university specialising in forestry in China, BFU is a multi-disciplinary university, known for their research and taught programmes in forestry, environmental and biological sciences, engineering, liberal arts, management, economics, law, fine arts, and language and linguistics. It enjoys the privileges of the “Project 211” – a benchmark and a prestigious status for the elite universities in China.
"Beijing students have the opportunity to study at Birkbeck"
Through the partnership, BFU will send their undergraduate and postgraduate students to study in Foundation Programme for Postgraduate Study, MA Intercultural Communication for Business Professions, and MA TESOL run by the Department of Applied Linguistics and Communication. The partnership follows the successful model of the existing partnership between SSHP and another elite Chinese university, Beijing Institute of Technology, through which a dozen students had the opportunity to study at Birkbeck over the past two years.
