    Biography

    Horen Voskeritsian joined the Department of Management in 2018. Prior to this he was a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management at the University of the West of England, Bristol. 

    Horen holds a PhD in Employment Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science, an MSc in Comparative Industrial Relations and HRM from the same university, and a BSc in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business.

    Horen’s research interests fall within the broad field of industrial relations, ranging from the philosophical and historical foundations of the field, to collective bargaining, the digitalisation of labour and the future of work, workers' participation, and industrial conflict. Ηe has actively researched the transformation of employment relations in Greece as a result of the 2010-2016 bailout programmes. He is currently researching the role of new automation technologies in the transformation of work and employment.

    Horen is one of the founding members of the Greek Labour Market Research Network, a loose network of academics researching the effects of the economic crisis on the Greek labour market. His research has been published by internationally renowned journals such as Economic and Industrial Democracy, International Journal of HRM and Relations Industrielles/Industrial Relations. 

    Horen has gained research funding from various bodies, including the Greek Foundation of State Scholarships (IKY), the British Universities Industrial Relations Association (BUIRA), the Institute of Employment of the Greek Confederation of Trade Unions (INE-GSEE), and the National Bank of Greece.

    During 2016-2017, he acted as a consultant to the Greek Minister of Labour in the negotiations with the Troika.

    Teaching

    I teach in the broad areas of Employment Relations and Management. I currently serve as the module leader and lecturer to the PG module 'Principles of Organisation and Management' and to the UG module 'Employment Relations and HRM'. I also contribute to the teaching of the PG module 'Perspectives on Political Economy'.
