Applying to Birkbeck

You apply directly to Birkbeck for our part-time undergraduate and part-time and full-time postgraduate courses.

Entry Requirements

We welcome students from all educational backgrounds.

UCAS Applications

If you want to study one of our full-time undergraduate courses, you will need to apply through UCAS.

Clearing at Birkbeck

Clearing is closed for this year. Take a look at our courses and apply to join us in 2025.

MPhil/PhD Applications

For most of our research programmes, you can choose to start in September/October, in January or in April.

International Student Applications

Birkbeck offers full-time courses to international students at a variety of levels, in a wide range of subject areas.

English language qualifications and tests

Affiliate Student Applications

If you are interested in studying a particular module, without doing a full degree, you can apply to study here as an affiliate student.

Enrolment

Before you can start your course each year, you need to enrol. By enrolling, you officially become a student of Birkbeck.
