SHORT COURSES
Birkbeck provides an opportunity for you to sign up to a short course early and then pay in instalments. This means you can spread the cost of your study over a year, at no extra cost.
CERTificate of Higher Education
If you have not studied at university level before, you may be eligible for fees and maintenance loans from Student Finance England if you study a total of 30 credits or more in one academic year. Find out more about loans through Student Finance England.
Prospective students in 2019-20 planning to study part-time may also be eligible to apply for Birkbeck's Cash Bursary Scheme, and receive up to a maximum of £800.
If you have exhausted all Birkbeck and government funding, and have experienced an unforeseen change of circumstance during your studies, you can apply for the Hardship Fund.
