This short course, Managing Emerging Digital Technologies, provides you with an overview of the fundamentals of digital technologies such as blockchain and its impacts on public and private organisations.
Blockchain is a new technology with widespread applications and important impacts on organisations and society. Originally devised for the digital currency, a multitude of other actual and potential uses of the technology are emerging.
The course is multidisciplinary, reflecting the diverse applications and impacts of new digital technologies. It provides you with basic knowledge about how they work, as well as user-oriented knowledge of a number of important applications of blockchain in areas such as:
- banking and finance
- management systems
- government regulation
- infrastructure development.
In addition, you will gain in-depth knowledge of the application of digital technologies and their impact in one specific field, and engage in critical discussion of the overall societal impacts.
