Module description
This module provides you with the skills needed to undertake research at a postgraduate level. In Part 1, you will have the opportunity to practise core skills such as accessing library and online resources, critical thinking and analysis, note-taking and writing for research. In Part 2 you will be helped to develop the skills that allow you to engage productively with the wider research context, and you will attend and write a blog about a number of research events put on by research centres affiliated to the department or by discipline-specific institutions of the University of London, such as the Institute for Modern Languages Research.

- engage productively with the wider research context, including producing critical summaries of research events.
