German 3 (Level 5)
Overview
- Credit value: 30 credits at Level 5

- Prerequisites: a placement test and German 2 or equivalent
- Assessment: two termly continuous assessment exercises (20%), an in-class listening assessment (15%), in-class written assessment (30%), oral in-class assessment (15%), 1000-word self-reflexive essay in German (15%) and class participation (5%)
Module description
This 24-week interactive module, leading to CEFR stage B2/A-level+*, is designed to help you practise and improve your oral and written comprehension, written composition and conversation.
You will be introduced to more complex grammatical structures, helping to bring your German up to an advanced level. A variety of media and class activities also develop your knowledge of the cultures of the German-speaking countries.
