Module description
In this unit you will learn about the practical realities that underpin the work of the professional director, particularly with regard to theatre and company organisation, programme and rehearsal planning, and budgeting and monitoring budgets.
Learning objectives
By the end of this unit, you will have:
- participated in and completed practical planning and budgeting exercises based on examples drawn from professional and/or professional-level practice
- investigated an aspect or aspects of the work of the professional theatre director within the industry
- coordinated and synthesised the results of this investigation and made a presentation to the group and assessors
- prepared written material related to the presentation that supports and sustains its argument and conclusions.
