Module description
In this module you will have the opportunity to participate in, or shadow, real cases for clients across a wide range of different areas of law at special clinical opportunities partnered with Birkbeck School of Law. You will have the chance to reflect upon a number of issues encountered during your experience surrounding the provision of legal advice and evaluating the training and skills you received from professional colleagues.
Learning objectives
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- demonstrate detailed and coherent knowledge of the substantive law, procedure and practice in the fields of legal practice in which you have gained experience
- analyse complex and changing real-life situations of legal dispute, identifying appropriate resolution strategies
- critically think about the ethical challenges of law in practice
- reflect upon the legal skills gained in clinical experience, including drafting, advocacy, client support, case file organisation, ethical issues.
