Module description
In this module we introduce some of the main qualitative approaches now used within psychology, provide practical guidance on conducting qualitative research and give you opportunities to engage in practical work with qualitative methods.

By the end of this module, you should be able to:
- demonstrate an awareness of principles of qualitative research
- understand techniques associated with some key qualitative approaches
- evaluate the arguments presented for and against qualitative methodology
- articulate some similarities and differences between qualitative methods
- conduct a simple qualitative study.
