Module description

In this module we provide you with a sound introduction to the various aspects of psychology, focusing on key theories and research. You will become aware of the significance of this body of knowledge to business and organisational psychology. Finally, the purpose of the module is to develop your ability to think critically and constructively about this area of psychology.

Learning objectives

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • understand and explain key psychological concepts from four key areas of psychology, and how they apply within an organisational context
  • constructively and critically evaluate theories and research in the field of psychology as applied to business and work
  • understand the relationships between various organisational psychology approaches and how they help make sense of phenomena in organisations
  • align evidence-based applied organisational psychology topics with real-life organisational contexts.
