Module description
Effectiveness in roles at the interface of biosciences and business depends on insight and knowledge in both disciplines. In BSc Bioscience with Management, an ability to insightfully research the background and latest developments in fundamental laboratory research will be deployed in the context of acquired knowledge of business concepts and theories.
By applying this learning within a final-year translational biosciences project, you will gain confidence both in your own abilities to explore bioscientific advances and in working as part of a dynamic and agile team to assess translational potential for the benefit of human health. These skills and attributes are core requirements of roles in the technology transfer office within a higher education or research institute, the biosciences department of a consultancy firm, or in the due diligence activity of a venture capital firm. Moreover, experience gained from this module would provide an excellent springboard for higher-level studies.
