Module description
In this one-week intensive module, we explore the presence of the world of the Roman empire (in terms of material remains and more general influence on visual culture) in some key London museums, such as the British Museum and Sir John Soane's Museum.

Learning objectives
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- show sophisticated knowledge and understanding of a range of topics pertaining to the history and politics of museums and collecting, as well as the material culture of the Roman world
- demonstrate close familiarity with the particular collections held by a range of London museums.
