Birkbeck Careers & Employability bring you the 'Work and Learn Fair' where you'll have a chance to meet over 30 employers and organisations offering a range of opportunities tohelp you make the most of your time at the university, including internships, part-time jobs and experienced hire vacancies. We're happy to welcome both prospective and current students through the doors of this event.
Alongside this, we have a series of talks on the day delivered by Google Digital Garage who are partnering with us on the event. These will delve into the exciting realm of jobs in the technology sector and how to start making an impact in the digital industries.
Get Stuck into Digital
Learn about the importance of digital for businesses and your own career, and get top tips from Google on how to build a business online. This masterclass from the Digital Garage team will include advice on how to build websites that work for all audiences, help you understand search and the customer purchase journey, and show you how to tell your story online, through social media and meaningful content.
Tell Your Story Online
The first step towards making the most of the internet is to show off the best of your business online. Make your website shine, on computers and mobile devices, develop rich content, and learn about the importance of measuring success with analytics.
Reach New Customers Online
Take the next step and make your business more visible online so that new customers can find you. Understand the cornerstones of digital marketing, and learn how to use online marketing tools to reach prospective customers.
To keep things running smoothly admission tickets to the day are staggered into arrival slots of 1 hour; don't worry, you won't be asked to leave if you go over that, it just helps us make sure everyone doesn't arrive all at once.
