Department of Biological Sciences Research Open Day
When:
—
Venue:
Online
The Research Open Day of the Department of Biological Sciences at Birkbeck is addressed to current and prospective students. It aims to offer a snapshot of the exciting and ground-breaking research that is carried out in our department, which includes research programs in Analytical and Biological Chemistry, Synthetic Biology, Microbiology, Cell Biology and Structural Biology.
Amongst high quality research in all these disciplines, the Department is world-reputed in the use of Electron Microscopy techniques for the characterization and study of the molecular machinery of the living organisms.
The event will include short lectures on the topic, together with a presentation from, and a chance to chat to, a Birkbeck graduate. Like in all our open days, prospective students will be able to meet with staff in charge of our different programs of study. A list of the programs offered can be found below.
In this occasion current and prospective student will also be able to meet and talk with Principal Investigators that lead research projects and with current PhD students in our Department
