An event to celebrate the publication of “The Philosopher Queens”, a collection of essays on women philosophers and political theorists whose contributions to the history of ideas often goes unrecognized. Philosophy and political theory are still male-dominated disciplines and lists of the “greatest thinkers” are often all men. Why is this, why does it matter, and what can we do to promote the important theories developed by and for the other half of the population?
