We welcome you all to the international open event (registration required) “Innovate, Educate and Eradicate: An Interdisciplinary Approach Towards Tackling Pandemics” on Friday the 19th February, 2pm – 3.30pm hosted by the School of Science at Birkbeck, University of London.

This event is organised primarily to enhance our international students experience at Birkbeck, by creating the opportunity for our students to engage with local and global community and to gain knowledge on this timely, interdisciplinary, and critical topic. This event also aims towards building a ‘one-world’ community to tackle global challenges.

Professor Kevin Ibeh, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) will open the event, while Professor Ulrike Hahn will offer an overview of her recently launched handbook on the COVID-19 vaccine.

The event will feature a talk with live music where the external speaker (Sreyashi Basu, Director, Joi Hok) will be introducing a historical perspective of pandemics and sharing her journey with an award-winning project on TB education and outreach in collaboration with Professor Sanjib Bhakta at Birkbeck.

In addition, there will be an excellent opportunity for you to participate in a competition for a “Joi Hok” Award. Follow the link for event registration:
