'Is University for Me?' Online taster lecture and information event

When:
Venue: Online

No booking required

It's a common misconception that university is only for those with A Levels or those who are coming straight from school or college. At Birkbeck, we know for a fact that's not the case.

Birkbeck is unique in its evening study offer with different flexible entry routes, ideal for those who haven't been in a classroom for a long time . Students join Birkbeck from all walks of life, with or without previous qualifications.

Want to know more? Come along to this free online information and taster event.

Who is the event for?

This online event, hosted by Birkbeck's Access and Engagement Department, is aimed at adults going to university for the first time and will offer practical advice and guidance with overcoming common challenges and concerns to help you decide if university is the right option for you.

Whatever your previous experience; whether you have been out of formal education for a long time or have faced challenging circumstances which have made studying difficult in the past; if you have an interest in studying at university, then this event is for you.

Why should I come along?

- a short taster lecture from Dr Mohammed Ateek from Birkbeck's Department of Applied Linguistics to give an insight into what university learning is like;
