Following our recent Decolonising the Academy Collective launch event with Professor Kehinde Andrews, we are thrilled to be able to present the student perspective on decolonising the academy and engage with the work of the Student Experience Hub. This event is primarily concerned with student experience, but open to all.

Aims:
- To open-up discussion on how we can best engage with the student voice in the Decolonising the Academy project.
- To hear student points of views on progress higher education is making in attempts to decolonise its practices, procedures and learning environment.
- To share good practice on student experience in decolonial learning spaces.
The Decolonising the Academy Collective at Birkbeck is a new initiative emanating from the Birkbeck Institute for Social Research, which builds on the earlier work of the Decolonising the Curriculum Working Group at Birkbeck. Our aim is to develop creative, innovative and transformative learning spaces tasked with liberating the academy from the legacies of colonialism and empire.
