How does innovation play a role in green finance? In this CIMR policy debate, we will be discussing how firms’ “environmental innovation” and fintech innovation” influence their financing in practice. Our discussion will be focusing on the following questions:

  1. What is the green finance? In practice, will the degree of firms’ environmental innovation help firms access cheaper finance?
  2. What is fintech innovation? How can fintech innovation help firms in their financing to achieve a better sustainable/environmental performance?
  3. Our industry expert Harry will share his professional experience in environmental innovation. He will talk about the following two businesses: DIOX and Pulpex. DIOX focuses on bringing waste down in the textile industry through environmentally friendly fabric coatings, while Pulpex produces pulp based bottles.
  4. How can we change investor sentiment towards Green Based innovation?
