Building a career in the football industry: Insider perspectives - a roundtable discussion
When:
—
Venue:
Birkbeck Main Building, Malet Street
Synopsis
Birkbeck Sport Business Centre, in collaboration with Birkbeck Talent – Birkbeck’s professional recruitment service linking employers with Birkbeck students and graduates – has organised this roundtable event to explore the topic of career opportunities and development within the sport industry, with particular reference to the football industry. By organising the event, the Birkbeck Sport Business Centre continues to support career networking for our students and alumni aimed at expanding opportunities for career progression in the sport sector.
The main objective of this event is to provide an overview of what it means to break into the sports industry and how to manage your career and expectations. The event is structured around presentations by four keynote speakers: Daniel Geey (Sheridans LLP); Jack Pentol Levy (Football Agent Education); Hugo Scheckter (West Ham United FC); and Ehsen Shah (B-Engaged Ltd – Sports Sponsorship & Athlete Marketing). Each speaker will briefly describe their career journeys – their background, how they started in the industry, how their careers have progressed – providing an overview of their organisations, the opportunities within and what their current roles entail. The event will then proceed to a Question & Answer discussion between the audience and the speakers.
Priority for tickets will be given to Birkbeck students and alumni.
