This event aims at introducing participants to popular concepts and jargon around climate change and hence improving participants’ carbon literacy skills. Carbon literacy is an awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of various everyday activities and an awareness of ways to reduce carbon emissions. The session also aims to encourage participants to evaluate their own carbon emissions and consider lifestyle changes.
This event is organised by three Birkbeck students studying on the MSc Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability programme. Jonet Dunmore, Nina Perunovic and Verity Snow took part in the Carbon literacy training offered through the Carbon Literacy Trust and share their newly acquired and certified knowledge on climate change and enthusiasm about Carbon Literacy training.
