We are delighted that you are considering studying with us in the Department of Languages, Cultures and Applied Linguistics at Birkbeck. We would like to invite you to a taster evening to give you a sense of what it will be like to be a student here, please see details of this event below:

18.00 -18.30: Introduction + key programme information
18.30 - 18.45: Student experience talk
18.45 - 19:00: Taster lecture of Japanese culture
19:00 - 19.15: Taster lecture of Spanish linguistics
19.15 - 19.30: Q&A session
19.30 - 19.50: Campus tour
Please note that if you have been to one of Birkbeck’s offer-holder evenings before, you do not need to join this event again, although of course you are welcome to should you wish so.
For enrolled students, there will also be a Student Induction just before the start of term on Friday September 30th at 6pm. Please save the date! You will receive further information in due course.
