Join us for a joint screening of the RTS award nominated ITV documentary ‘The Crossing’ and a Q&A with its undercover reporter and Associate Producer, Handa Majed.

The film won the Royal Television Society award for the best UK current affairs programme of 2022. Judges acclaimed it as "a stupendous piece of film making, displaying great bravery and compelling storytelling".

Made over 12 months, this film for the BAFTA-winning Exposure series dissects the events and actors which led to the tragic mass drowning of asylum seekers in the English Channel in November 2021. The film provides unique insights into the motivations, economics and human aftermath of the disaster in which 27 people died.

Handa will discuss the making of the film, and its legal and political impact on both sides of the Channel.

This event is also taking place in-person - visit here for details.
