In this virtual “taster” session, we will introduce you to the MSc in Data Science, allow you to ask questions about the programme, and sample some of the materials you will experience in the early weeks of the course. The programme director, Dr Alessandro Provetti, will provide an overview of the programme and what you should expect from the taught components of the degree. We will also have a member of the programme administration team in attendance to answer any queries you may have concerning enrolment and attendance. There will also be an opportunity to experience a sample Python programming session using one of the Cloud development environments we employ in the course.
Please note: This session consists of two parts - Overview/Q&A on Microsoft Teams and Python Programming Session on Replit. If you intend to participate in the Python part of the session, please create a free account on replit and then send your account userid to Keith Mannock , who will then register you under the taster module.
