Birkbeck Law School skills workshop: Basic Principles of OSCOLA referencing
When:
—
Venue:
Online
Please note that this session is for Birkbeck Law School students only.
This session will consider the basic principles of OSCOLA citation, including when and where in your assessment you should add footnotes, how you should refer to different sources in the body of your assignment (such as case law, legislation, books and journal articles), and the basic principles of punctuation in the OSCOLA style.
Please note that this session will not cover the mechanics of writing and formatting specific references for specific sources. For workshops on how to actually write and format the references themselves, try:
Citing cases and statutes using OSCOLA
Citing journal articles using OSCOLA
Citing books and book chapters using OSCOLA
If you are not a Birkeck Law School student but wish to attend this workshop, please contact the organiser directly.
