Come and join us for our BA History of Art Programmes Offer Holder afternoon.
BA History of Art programmes is a part of the School of Historical Studies.
You will have the opportunity to chat with our staff Robert Maniura and find out more about the programmes.
Robert lectures on the art of both Northern and Southern Europe in the late Middle Ages and Renaissance at BA and MA level.
Robert Maniura research has concentrated on the role of the visual in devotion in the late Middle Ages and Renaissance, with a special focus on images associated with miracles.
When you study art history at Birkbeck, you will learn from academics whose expertise ranges from medieval European architecture through to contemporary Latin American Art. We have particular expertise in photography and museums. As well as regular gallery and museum visits, we offer an exciting study trip abroad every Spring.
Birkbeck was ranked as one of the top four universities in the UK for its Art and Design research in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework.
Birkbeck teaching takes place in the evening, leaving you free to study, volunteer or explore London during the day.
