It’s the middle of the night and your car won’t start. The cliff face has been chipped away from centuries of tides. Video tapes of your childhood become less clear. You bury your fish and buy a dog. The stock market crashes. The internet crashes. You play Crash Bandicoot. You’re in freefall. You ask them to say it again. Crash Bandicoot crashes. You break an egg and make an omelette. With cheese. BreakDown explores how we dismantle and rebuild. Dismantle and rebuild.
The performance will last approximately 30 minutes and be followed by a panel discussion with the makers of the piece, students on the MFA Theatre Directing programme.
