Please join us for an online information session, where you will learn more about Birkbeck's interdisciplinary Postgraduate Social Research Programmes. Dr Chao-Yo Cheng, a Lecturer in Quantitative Political and Social Research, will explain what you will study through our Social Research courses and how they are taught. You will also have a chance to ask any questions about our iconic programmes to find out which Social Research programme suits you.
For more than a decade, we have been producing many capable social researchers for different subject areas. Many of our students now have a variety of successful research roles in private firms, government departments and NGOs. Additionally, many past students secured offers and, in many cases, scholarships to pursue their PhD study, not only at Birkbeck but also at other highly prestigious universities. A recent MSc student received the prestigious Diversity Fellowship from the American Political Science Association, a distinguished recognition for students from underrepresented backgrounds.
