This year's Annual lecture examines the question of how, and to what extent, Artificial Intelligence shape the future of British Politics. What impact has AI had so far, and how realistic are the optimistic and doom-laden scenarios for the future?

Biography

Kate Dommett is Professor of Digital Politics at Sheffield. Their research focuses on digital technology and democratic politics, with a particular focus on data use, election campaigns and regulation, and their recent research has looked at the use of personal data for political campaigning, political advertising, and the regulation of digital politics. Her new book Data-Driven Campaigning and Political Parties: Five advanced Democracies Compared is published with Oxford University Press.
