The Accounting and Finance subject group of Birkbeck College invites current and future students to the Annual Finance Conference 2024. The event brings together current and prospective students, faculty and alumni for an evening discussing the latest developments in Crypto Finance and Commodities. In addition, the event will provide an overview on the different postgraduate Finance programmes offered at Birkbeck College.

- Dr William Smith - Senior Developer at Beaufort Energy - Beaufort Energy is a London based hedge fund focusing on European gas and power markets. William holds PhD from Birkbeck, University of London (supervisor Prof Helyette Geman). Previously he completed the MSc Finance at Birkbeck and a BSc Computer Science at Warwick.
- Dr Katia Babbar - Co-founder of Immersive Finance, London - Immersive Finance is building an institutional grade risk management and alpha generation platform for digital assets. Katia is also a visiting lecturer at Oxford University in Quantitative Finance. She has a previous worked as quantitative FX researcher at Lloyds. She holds a PhD in Mathematics from Imperial College London.
