Come and join us for our BA History of Art Programmes Offer Holder afternoon.
BA History of Art programmes is a part of the School of Historical Studies.
You will have the opportunity to chat with our staff Mara Polgovsky Ezcurra and find out more about the programmes.
Mara’s research focuses on contemporary Latin American Art and Intellectual History, with a particular emphasis on the politics of aesthetics and on the study of liveness, presence, corporeality, and agency in artistic practice —including live, performance, and ecological art, together with dance and the moving image.
When you study art history at Birkbeck, you will learn from academics whose expertise ranges from medieval European architecture through to contemporary Latin American Art. We have particular expertise in photography and museums. As well as regular gallery and museum visits, we offer an exciting study trip abroad every Spring.
Birkbeck was ranked as one of the top four universities in the UK for its Art and Design research in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework.
Birkbeck teaching takes place in the evening, leaving you free to study, volunteer or explore London during the day.
This event will be online.
