At our first Linking London IAG Practitioner Group meeting of 2024/25, aimed at careers advisers, student support staff, tutors/teachers and university outreach and admissions staff, we will be hearing from expert speakers on a range of topical matters, including the latest news on HE applications, UCAS admissions and policy updates, as well as all things HE finance. At this meeting, which will be in person, we will also be providing opportunities for partners to network, share any gaps in IAG and outreach support and explore areas for collaboration.

Attendees will be hearing from Carolyn Mindos Principal Admissions Reform Lead at UCAS, who will be sharing headlines on the 2024 entry cycle, as well as what’s changing for 2025 and a look ahead in terms of policy updates, new resources and UCAS’s priorities and plans going forward.

A group discussion item will follow, exploring with partners their IAG and outreach offer for the Autumn term and beyond, identifying gaps in provision and areas for collaboration.

Ben Rutter, from the Student Loans Company, will then be updating the group on the latest HE Finance news, including what we know so far about what next for the lifelong Learning Entitlement, as well as providing an overview of resources aimed at students and practitioners.

At the meeting we will also updating the group on the very latest Linking London resources for staff and learners. And last but not least, we will also be providing an opportunity for colleagues to share news and updates via our round table item.

Meetings are aimed at Careers Advisers, Teachers and University Outreach & Admissions staff but are open to any staff at partner institutions who are interested in IAG relating to HE progression.

Please note this event is for Linking London Partners only.
