Kinemacolor was cinema’s first successful colour reproduction process, promoted by Charles Urban between 1910-15. Editor and film historian Christopher Bird has reconditioned an original projector to demonstrate how effective the process actually was, and this, together with an original camera, will be on show. Also, the first Technicolor feature, TOLL OF THE SEA (1922), ‘a great romantic drama of the Orient’, starring Anna May Wong, plus some other examples of early colour processes.
