How do we tell stories about climate change? How do we imagine, understand, and respond to the challenges of a changing world?

As part of Birkbeck Climate Festival 2025, this interactive library space invites students to explore climate storytelling through books and board games. Featuring a curated selection of climate justice, sustainability, and environmental change texts, alongside board games that model real-world climate challenges, this space is designed for reflection, discussion, and discovery. Please note that you need a Birkbeck Library Card to participate in this activity.

📖 Browse key books on climate and sustainability
🎲 Engage with interactive climate-themed board games
🔎 Drop in any time during the festival—no sign-ups required

Join us in the library throughout March 17–21 to explore how stories shape our understanding of climate justice and environmental futures. Whether you want to skim through a book, try out a game, or simply take a moment to reflect, this space is open for all, you just need to remember your library card! Also, the games need a couple of people to play them, so do bring a friend if you plan to play.
