Over the past decade any separation between online and IRL existence has been eroded - and yet so much theatre carries on as though smartphones had never been invented. What happens when WhatsApp, Instagram and other digital platforms aren't turned off as you walk into the theatre, but integrated into the work? How can the politics of these communication tools be foregrounded and interrogated? And how does this impact the work of the dramaturg? Join director/dramaturg Kirsty Housley and writer/dramaturg Maddy Costa for an evening focused on digital dramaturgies, drawing on their experiences of working with performance-makers including Javaad Alipoor and Paula Varjack.

This event will include a practical workshop and discussion, chaired by Dr Seda Ilter.
