Poetry speaks directly to us, and has a music of its own. Come and hear live performances of accessible new settings of French poems by female poets, from across the French-speaking world. Soprano Alison Smart Fisher and pianist Katharine Durran have commissioned and created these new songs, in a set called New French Song (2). They form the basis for lively discussion chaired by Akane Kawakami (Birkbeck) –
