How can we use nature to explore our own history? This is a writing workshop using prompts from nature that help writers to think about ways to uncover the past. It’s a chance to use documents from the archives to explore inspiring vivid storytelling, from medicinal plants to water, from magic to contested pasts. Writers Tatum and Katie offer readings and practical exercises to concentrate the mind on finding lyrical, textural and sensory detail while exploring stories from the past. This workshop will allow writers to explore an added depth to their work, down even to sentence structure itself.
