Professor Hobson from Queen Mary, University of London, is a world-leading expert on eighteenth-century French thought and literature, and the philosophy of Jacques Derrida.  She is author of The Object of Art: The Theory of Illusion in Eighteenth-Century France (1982), and Jacques Derrida: Opening Lines (1998), amongst many other publications. She came to talk about her new research on Rousseau and Diderot.
