Professor Murray Pittock is the Principal Investigator of the AHRC Beyond Text grant ‘Inventing Tradition and Securing Memory’. He is working on a monograph on 'Treacherous Objects: Material Culture and Sedition' which expands John Barrell's approach in Imagining the King’s Death into Thing Theory and the realm of objects.
