No Trespass : Mapping the Out-of -bounds City
As urban planning with its rationalised zoning strategies imposes an ever more intimate grid of regulation on even the most pedestrian lines of desire, a counter movement has emerged which sets out to occupy, use and invest with meaning all the sites which have been neglected, fenced off or otherwise declared out of bounds. In this session we will explore the limits and conditions of these new edgy and subterranean geographies and draw out their implications for remapping the deep topography of the city.
