Paradigms and International Organisations in a Multipolar World: The Evolving Landscape of Development Finance
When:
—
Venue:
Birkbeck Main Building, Malet Street
Recent power shifts in the global political economy have led to an increasingly multipolar realm of development cooperation and finance, as evidenced in the emergence of new multilateral institutions. In this roundtable a group of academic and civil society researchers will discuss the ongoing transformations in the international development regime by focusing on changes in both development wisdom and practice. Particular attention will be paid to the interplay of traditional and new actors, the growing emphasis on infrastructure, and the adaptation efforts of established multilateral agencies such as the World Bank.
