This Taster Day is for people who have applied or are thinking of applying for the following undergraduate degree programmes in 2017-18:

  • BSc Geography
  • BA Human Geography
  • BSc Social Sciences
  • BSc Community Development and Public Policy

The day will consist of an introduction to the above degrees and to the Department of Geography. This will include an opportunity to meet academic staff and current undergraduate students. There will also be a variety of speakers including a visiting guest lecturer from Canada who will illustrate how and why studying geography and social science are profoundly relevant for making sense of the complex and sometimes bewildering modern world that we live in.
