You’ve been accepted onto a postgraduate programme in the School of Law at Birkbeck. Congratulations! So you may be starting to think about your preparations for your studies.
- Has it been some time since you last studied at university?
- Is your first degree in a different subject?
- Do you have any concerns about studying, researching and writing at postgraduate level?
- Would you like to get a head start with your studies?
If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, this may be just what you’re looking for! This workshop offers the chance to consider some of the expectations for postgraduate study in Law and Criminology, consider some of the challenges of juggling studies, work and other commitments, and start preparing for the year ahead. There will be opportunities to get your burning questions answered, and this will be a first chance to meet other new postgraduate students in Law and Criminology, as well as one of the School’s learning development tutors, who provide academic skills and learning support for students in the School of Law.
