Birkbeck's Big Ideas is a series of FREE events, designed to inspire and bring world class Birkbeck academics to the local community
The series will run every 2nd Wednesday of the month, from July to May 2017. With this instalment from David Tross.
Cities including Bristol in the UK and Santa Monica in the US have developed and delivered wellbeing indexes. Through these initiatives, which attempt to understand residents' subjective wellbeing alongside more traditional measures, Mayors and Civic Leaders want their cities to become 'a beacon for health, happiness and wellbeing'. Given how badly London and its boroughs compares to other UK regions in current happiness and wellbeing indexes, is this an approach which could work here?
