Birkbeck Science Week- Earth and Planetary Sciences
When:
—
Venue:
Birkbeck Main Building, Malet Street
For THREE consecutive nights in March, Birkbeck’s School of Science will host engaging and interactive evening events showcasing our three Science Departments: Psychological Sciences, Biological Sciences and Earth & Planetary Sciences
These events are for anyone who has received an offer to study in the School of Science, has a passing interest in science and/or is considering studying science at university.
You can attend our programme of free science talks in person – right in the heart of central London – or join our global online audience as we live stream the event.
Each event begins with a panel discussion that introduces the science subject, considers what it’s like to study that science topic as an undergraduate or postgraduate at university and what types of jobs graduates seek following graduation. The second half of the event comprises two short talks featuring current, cutting-edge research being conducted by our very own Birkbeck scientists. There will also be the chance to get a behind the sciences view with tours around our laboratories and facilities.
