Interacting with a world of intelligent machines: resilience and fairness in deep learning
When:
—
Venue:
Birkbeck Main Building, Malet Street
No booking required
Starting from the fundamental principles of bio-inspired machine learning methods, like neural networks and deep learning, and popular models and learning algorithms, we will explore how intelligent machines have changed the way people interact with information in different contexts, and how organisations are using, and sometimes exploiting, data, computer algorithms, and deep learning technologies. We will discuss challenges ahead and future trends in machine intelligence applications.
George Magoulas is Professor at Birkbeck's Department of Computer Science, and Director of the Birkbeck Knowledge Lab, University of London.
