BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES – SCIENCE WEEK
When:
—
Venue:
Birkbeck Clore Management Centre
For FOUR nights in May/June, Birkbeck’s School of Science will host engaging and interactive evening events showcasing our three Science Departments - Biological Sciences, Earth & Planetary Sciences, and Psychological Sciences - and culminating in the return of the annual Rosalind Franklin lecture.
These events are for anyone who has received an offer to study in the School of Science, has a passing interest in science and/or is considering studying science at university.
You can attend our programme of free science talks in person – right in the heart of central London – or join our global online audience as we live stream the event.
The Biological Sciences event will start with an introduction to the department. This will then be followed up with two short talks by our very own Birkbeck scientists, focusing on Artificial Intelligence and its applications to Biology. The second half of the event features a panel discussion on how science research and education at Birkbeck can be transformative for both individuals and the wider society. There will also be the chance to get behind the scenes with tours around our laboratories and facilities.
