This event is for new and continuing students.

If you’re brand new to Birkbeck or an existing student looking to get back in the swing of things after hibernating over the holiday break, this event is perfect for you to kick-off the year. Dive into insightful workshops, covering practical guidance and academic skills, and learn all about the support and resources available for the rest of the academic year. You can connect with other students, explore campus & take a tour of the library. There will be stalls, events, and other activities to get to know what is available to you as a Birkbeck student to help you have a successful and fulfilling university experience.

Start the day by grabbing a refreshment in the Student Centre in Malet Street before heading off to enjoy your chosen activities. Experience the many stalls, workshops and events designed to introduce you to the wealth of services that will form the bedrock of your Birkbeck experience.

Come onto campus for a Saturday Study Skills Day which will give you a great chance to boost your study skills ahead of the start of year, with a broad range of study skills workshops available to book.

Come and meet our Student Services at their Stalls:

There will be a number of stalls in room 111a in the Library, running between 11:00-14.00 including:

  • International Students – Student services and ISA (Library Room 111A)
  • Library tours
  • Study Skills
  • Digital Education
  • Counselling
  • Disability and Dyslexia
  • Mental Health teams (TBC)
